Art Directives, Incorporated, an appraisal and consulting firm, was established by Rochelle Eisenberg, ASA in 1986. Mrs. Eisenberg’s thirty years of experience and professional credentials make her highly qualified to conduct all types of appraisals, acquisition and sales assistance and curatorial work.

Mrs. Eisenberg is an accredited Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), a professional organization which exacts high standards of ethical conduct and expertise from its members. She is a member of the International Personal Property Committee and on the Board of Examiners of the ASA. She is the past president of the ASA’s Philadelphia Chapter, former education chairman, and a member of its Board of Directors since 1989.

Mrs. Eisenberg has taught professional appraisal courses at The George Washington University for the ASA. She is an instructor of a course on Collecting and Appraising Fine Art and Antiques at Temple University, and has lectured on this subject at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Eisenberg has researched and analyzed the art market during extensive travels throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, and has participated in major auction house exhibitions and sales in Philadelphia and surrounding areas and New York. From 1978 to 1986, she assembled a collection of museum-quality fine art and antiques and exhibited in major antique shows along the eastern seaboard from Connecticut to Washington, DC.

Mrs. Eisenberg is a graduate of the Winter Institute at the Winterthur Museum and the Art Department of the Barnes Foundation in Merion, PA. She has studied the history of art at the New School for Social Research in New York, the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
