MEET OUR STAFF

 

The expertise of the Art Directives team spans all areas of art, antiques and the personal property market. The staff prides themselves in their ability to coordinate efforts as a team even from various locations around the country to conduct and produce thorough appraisal documents to suit the needs of each individual client.

 

Sarah Ann Wilson joined Art Directives after graduating from Moore College of Art & Design in 2011 with a BFA in Curatorial Studies and a minor in Fashion Design. She has had several internship and volunteer experiences that have influenced her work in the appraisal industry including an internship at The Andy Warhol Museum and another with fashion designer Charlotte Ronson. Aside from her work at Art Directives, Sarah continues to work as a freelance exhibition assistant in Philadelphia.

 

Asma Mian has been part of the Art Directives staff since the beginning of 2010. From her time at Art Directives she has learned to research various antiques, artwork, furniture, porcelains and silver using aides such as the web, reference books and consultation. For her Art Directives has provided great entrance, exposure and an appreciation of the arts.

 

Saira Saeed joined Art Directives, INC., in 2000. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art History and Studio Art from Tyler School of Art at Temple University. Her decade of experience at Art Directives has given Saira an in depth knowledge of fine arts and decorative arts and has given her a keen eye in identifying and researching a wide range of personal property.  Her expertise includes identification of Fine Arts, Antiques, Furniture, China, Porcelains and a strong concentration in American, English and Continental Silver.  Saira coordinates Art Directives central office in Blue Bell, PA.

 

Elana Markus has been a proud member of the Art Directives team since 2009. She received her Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and Master of Arts from USC in Art History. Her widespread experience in dealing with different types of art stems from working in various museums. Prior to coming to Art Directives, Elana worked in the Antiquities Curatorial Department of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, at Sotheby's in Los Angeles, as well as the National Gallery of Art and the Royal Academy of Art in London. Elana coordinates the Art Directives office in Southern California.

 

Melissa Green has been a member of Art Directives Inc., since 2004. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Gordon College in Massachusetts. Melissa brings with her an expansive knowledge of the art world which was deepened by her studies in Italy. Before beginning at Art Directives, Melissa worked for Grundy Worldwide, an antique and collector car insurance company, where she gained a widespread understanding of the insurance industry. Her seven years of experience at Art Directives have given her an extensive knowledge of the fine art, decorative arts and antique market, particularly American and English furniture. Melissa coordinates the Art Directives office in Brentwood, MD and meets with clients from the metro DC region which include areas of Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland.
